Feeling lonely, tired, or “behind” as a mom? Read this

Motherhood is Kingdom work—hard, holy, and worth it. Here’s practical hope for every season.
This week we’re talking to the mamas—Reclaiming Motherhood—and Suzanne invited her daughters (now moms themselves) for a raw, hope-filled roundtable. If your days feel long, loud, and a little lonely, this one’s for you.
Big idea:
Motherhood is Kingdom work. It’s hard, but hard doesn’t mean bad. God gently leads those who have young (Isaiah 40:11), and He’s shaping your heart while you shape theirs.
In this episode, you’ll learn:
- Mindset shifts that change the day: Make motherhood the main thing; chores and schedules fit under it—not the other way around.
- Connection over perfection: Get on the same side of the line with your child—join their world, then invite them into yours.
- When you feel weak or “not enough”: Name the insecurity, bring it into the light, and ask for help (from God, your spouse, and your people).
- Loneliness hacks: Build quick, deep check-ins with mom friends; scoop your spouse into the daily story; practice God-with-us moments during nap-trap hours.
- Practical positivity: Make more deposits than withdrawals—call out small wins (“You put your shoes away—crushed it!”).
- Repent & repair: You’ll blow it sometimes. Own it quickly. Repentance restores connection and resets the culture at home.
- Mission of motherhood: If all you do is disciple the children God gave you, you are living the Great Commission at home.
Try this this week:
-
Play on purpose: Spend 10 minutes fully in your child’s world—no multitasking.
-
One ask for help: Text a friend or your spouse one concrete need (“Can you grab the bedtime dishes?”).
-
Positivity ratio: Aim to say 3 life-giving comments for every correction.
